Junkyard Bistro in Salmon

Best place to eat in Salmon. We LOVE the Mongolian beef. The gnocchi, burgers, gyro, pasta salad, house salad, and pork and seeds are all super yummy.

The food was delicious.. the potato salad with the Sweet Basil was incredible

Cool little local bar in Salmon, great fun friendly service and the cook makes some great food. Great asethetic feel to the actual atmosphere itself, clean bathrooms and clean tables and counters. Recommend checking this place out for sure!

We were just passing through this town and needed a bite to eat..... we found this place which had a patio out back that was dog friendly..... a must for us on hot road trip days. The waitress brought our dog a bowl of water too. I had the Turkey Gouda wrap and oh my.... yum! The mr. had a buffalo sandwich which he loved also. This lunch was just soooo yummy. We compared all future meals on the trip to this one and nothing even compared! And to think we almost didn't stop. Now that we know it is there we will stop again if we are ever close!

The food was great! Servings were a good size, and service was wonderful.

Had one of their burgers absolutely fabulous. French dip was super tender. Their potato salad and pasta salad are really good. Wonderful staff very friendly ladies here. Look forward to coming back.

1 star because i cant give less. Worst service ever and have given them multiple tries. No one greets or even sits on you we walked out after sitting for 20 min.

It's hard to find a place that actually tries to put out good creative food. We had a group of nine and everyone loved their dishes. The place doesn't even have a deep fryer because they make homemade sides.

One of my all time favorite restaurants in the nation. The bahn mi is TO DIE FOR!

The food is awesome and service is friendly. It seems to be a local joint, but everyone was incredibly nice to us tourists.

I can't say how much I love this place. Their food is always so incredibly good and the service is amazing. I've traveled and tasted a lot of food, but I'll always want to come back to The Junkyard.

Here are your drinks no straws. The food had a lot of oil in it. Pasta and shrimp with a lot of oil on the bread. The place smells like fried oil, I need to take my clothes to the cleaner now. The lights were too dark in there, there was a wine barrel where the fireplace used to be and a person that came in to dine, it almost fell when she tripped over the old fireplace brick on the floor. The plate that my menu was served on, it was cracked like crazy- I can get a better dish form a Goodwill in Treasure Valley. I will not dine here again.

Highly recommended to me. It is a hole-in-the-wall place, and the food was way better than I expected. The hot Italian sandwich was very good. Now I highly recommend it too. Pleasant atmosphere, fast and friendly waitresses, didn't have to wait very long, and as I said before, the food was fantastic.

Waited OVER 2 hrs for our food. Wish someone would have told us that when we sat down or we would have gone elsewhere. We'd ask our waitress about our order and she said she'd check and then she'd never come back. What a joke.

Great selection of dishes, including unusual, tasty sandwiches, served with choice of sides. The pasta salad was very good with my Chicken Satay sandwich. Server was delightful.

Hands down the best restaurant in Salmon. I was here for a work trip and after trying out the other places in town I came back here three days in a row. Beer prices are really good too!

Mind BLOWN! We ordered The Nibbler, Bahn Mi, 2 caesers and a soup thinking something in that spread would be good. What we didn’t expect was for EVERY SINGLE ITEM to be the bomb. Absolutely recommend The Nibbler if cheese plate types of appetizers are your thing. Wow, will try again!

Wow, this place far exceeded my expectations! Clean, great menu (especially for rural Idaho), kind service, fun theme to the place. Overall. Very good experience. The menu has Italian, burgers, sandwiches, salads. In fact, I ordered gnocchi...yah, that's right, potato flour pasta balls and they were excellent. It came with a salad that looked better than most I have ever had. I had 45 mins to eat and get to a meeting but that wasn't a problem because I was in and out in 30 mins.

Nice small place good food

This place is very cool, great service even with a group, fresh and clever recipes, great staff. It's small so make a reservation or plan on waiting on a hockey weekend.

It does smell a little bit like smoke when you walk in, but a lot of the reviews exaggerated it, and you can't even smell it after a couple minutes. The waitress was really friendly, and it's a great environment for the family. They have a large menu with sandwiches, salads, wraps, and a kid's menu. The food was amazing!! I definitely recommend it.

Good beer selection... Was a decent atmosphere for such a small town.. maybe try and do a reduction on your balsamic and oil... But really not bad. Good service. Friendly service and better people..

Junkyard Bistro was recommended to us by someone in SandPointe ID, and did not disappoint. We sat outside on the patio and had a wonderful meal. Service was alittle slow getting to us, but over all highly recommend if you're in Salmon. We had the burger, and the beef noodle bowl. Plenty of leftovers for lunch the next next day.

Good food and good service,fair price,nice place for lunch or dinner even a romantic dinner,wine and beer served.This has been a good place for bringing out of town friends and family.Very reasonably Priced.

Fantastic menu with various choices. All of the food is fantastic and the presentation is well done. They also have a little patio in back that is dog friendly. A must try when passing through Salmon!
